We already have dates! Fira B! 2023 will take place from 9 to 12 October and from 2 to 5 November in Mallorca. This year, for the first time, the music and performing arts programme will be held in different weeks. Thus, the performing arts programme will take place on 9, 10, 11 and 12 October, and the music programme from 2 to 5 November.
The IEB has also opened the call for artists. All artists interested in participating in this new edition of the professional market of music and performing arts of the Islands can register from today until 29 January 2023.
This year's 7th and last edition of Fira B! was attended by nearly 10,000 people, almost twice as many as the previous edition. Fira B! 2022 promoted 54 music and 26 performing arts events. 356 artists, 196 musicians and 160 performing arts professionals took to the stage. There were more than a hundred more artists than last year, when 255 artists took part. A total of 558 people were accredited for the Fira B! Pro Professional Days. Over five days, more than fifty round tables, conferences, presentations, workshops, debates and lectures have been programmed, both by artists and show organisers. Those attending the Fira B! Pro Professional Days emphasise that they leave with contacts they would not have made otherwise and with good business and exchange opportunities.
Fira B! is a professional music and performing arts market whose main objective is to showcase the most representative recent creations of artists from the Balearic Islands, as well as to promote exchange networks between music and performing arts professionals, both from the Balearic Islands and from outside the community, both nationally and internationally. It was born in 2015 exclusively as a showcase for the performing arts in the Balearic Islands. It was inspired by the Sea Arts (2013) and Sea Music (2014) festivals and the Fira Illescena (2014).
